Athletics Tournament - we ran, jumped and threw!

Year 5 and 6 headed to MCMA on Thursday after school to take part in Indoor Athletics.  It was a fantastic event organised by the students at MCMA who have the job of sports organisers.  They umpire the track and field events, record the points and ensure the competitors play fairly.

The children took part in numerous field events including javelin, speed bounce, standing long jump and chest push.

The track events were incredibly fast and very exciting to watch.  The children used a reversaboard to turn quickly and keep their speed up.

The track events focused on relays and included a really hard race called the Paarlauf which really tired the children out!

The event was so popular so thank you to everyone who showed their interest - it is great to have so much enthusiasm.

Crosslee Team came 5th overall and the girls came 2nd! Brilliant effort everyone!
