Wow! Water Polo is 'incredible' says Leah!

Whilst most of us were sat on the sofa in our dressing gowns on Saturday morning, the U21 England Water Polo Teams were warming up for some very important matches.

This weekend was the Water Polo Euro Nations Championship and to celebrate 'This Girl Can' (women and girls in sport) and 'Female Football Week', a group of 10 girls were invited to watch poolside!

The games were incredible - we decided it was a mix of swimming, gymnastics, basketball, netball and football - all done without touching the bottom of the pool! The players were super fit and even watching their warm up tired us out!

The girls were interviewed by the match commentators and got to ask Team England questions about the sport and how they got involved.  We figured out the rules by chatting to the England coaches and the girls were so interested.

They were brilliant representatives of our school.

Thank you to the parents and carers who also came to school early to drop off the children - it is much appreciated and the girls really enjoyed the day.

Hopefully we will get to try this sport for ourselves so get your swimming costumes ready!? 

If you are a strong swimmer, keep working hard and this is the best way to get into water polo.
