🌿 Our School Eco Champions

Our Eco Champions have had an inspiring and action‑packed year, working hard to make our school and local community greener, cleaner, and more environmentally friendly. Their enthusiasm, teamwork, and commitment to protecting the planet have made a real difference.

🌍 Environmental Survey & Community Litter Pick

The children began by carrying out a detailed environmental survey, helping us understand how we can improve sustainability across the school. They also took part in a community litter pick, proudly helping to keep our local area clean and welcoming for everyone.

🚲 Promoting Active Travel

To encourage healthier and more eco‑friendly journeys to school, we hosted a bike repair workshop and a whole‑school assembly on active travel. Children learned how to look after their bikes and why choosing to walk, scoot, or cycle is great for both the environment and their wellbeing.

🌱 Planting for the Future

Our Eco Champions have planted bulbs around the local community to brighten shared spaces and support wildlife. Over the coming months, we will also be developing our school garden to boost biodiversity and create a peaceful outdoor space for all children to enjoy.

♻️ Recycling Workshops & Eco Day

We have taken part in hands‑on recycling workshops to learn more about reducing waste. During our Eco Day, the children reused everyday materials to create bird feeders, pencil holders, and money boxes—showing how simple items can be transformed instead of being thrown away.

Our Eco Champions are leading the way in helping our school become more sustainable. We are incredibly proud of their hard work, creativity, and passion for protecting our planet. Their efforts are helping to build a greener future for everyone.
